Brewery Maintenance Engineer
Algarve Rock Brewery is an exciting new Craft Brewery located in Faro, Portugal, working hard to revolutionize craft brewing in Portugal and worldwide. Currently, we are looking for an experienced Brewery Maintenance Engineer with a positive attitude to help the brewing and production team.
The Brewery Maintenance Engineer position is full time working alongside the Head Brewer to ensure all equipment is maintained and operational. An electro-mechanical or plumbing background is essential to fully understand and operate bottle filling equipment, bottle wrapping and general equipment. The successful candidate will be trained in basic brewing to fully understand equipment requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
- Good understanding in practical engineering, electrics and plumbing.
- A passion for craft beer, an excellent work ethic, and a desire to join our brewing team and to help the Company grow.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
- Desire to take on increased responsibilities in the brewery
- Able to retain confidential company knowledge.
- Assisting all Production Team members in all aspects of their role.
- Adhere to all safety protocols set in place by Algarve Rock Brewery.
- Able to function in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Able to learn new skills and follow instructions.
- Able to lift 25 kg.
- Work standing up for long periods.
- Able to work in cold and warm environments.
- Motivated to make a difference in a positive environment.
- A flexible schedule, working a variety of shifts including weekends.
